Objectives

• The objective behind setting up these clubs is to help address old age loneliness, depression cases in the elderly that is a major issue with the senior citizen.
• Here at Elders’ Club, they get an opportunity to interact with people of their own age and are able to get de-stressed.
• These Clubs are well equipped with indoor games and other recreational facilities, besides all kinds of religious and secular literature.
• Like the earlier successful initiative of converting Old delapidated government buildings into beautiful community libraries, these CLUBS too have been made by converting damaged and delapidated government buildings with very little expenditure and with public contribution.

Elder's club, another noble initiative by District Administration Jamtara to provide an avenue for dignified aging.

All six blocks of Jamtara have beautiful well equiped clubs for the senior citizens. Like community libraries in all panchayats, this is a brainchild of Jamtara Deputy Commissioner Faiz Aq Ahmed Mumtaz.
